D-SETI arises out of my academic path, which is based on the traditions of the Western Liberal Arts and Integral Studies. These traditions indicate that humanity's development involves interaction with non-human intelligences, exemplified in the literary characters of Socrates, who is considered father of Western Philosophy, and Asclepius, who was the ancient Greek god of dreams and medicine.
I understand academics to be a spiritual path, rather than only a tool for materialist gain. I believe that studying the liberal arts will make you free, especially if you dive deeply into the Platonic streams of though. I believe that to study another, you need to study yourself and to integrate multiple perspectives.
There are multiple means of knowledge: objective, subjective, and nondual. I strive to holistically engage in many different modes of study. I engage in both qualitative and quantitative research that respects the dreamer and the dream.

When I was a kid, I wanted to be an astronomer because I thought it would reveal the mysteries of the cosmos. I took a year of Physics, then realized that all materialist science is simply a logical expansion of some initial postulates.
I realized that science was just like religion, so I decided to study whatever it was in humanity that could hold both religion and science.
After years of rationalist and materialist perspectives, I realized that Beauty, in some ways, is equivalent to Truth. In art, I finally found the mystical connection with source that I had sought for in the night skies.

East-West Psychology
MA in East-West Psychology
California Institute of Integral Studies
I knew that I'd go to the California Institute of Integral Studies after reading the book Being, Evolution, and Immortality by its founder when I was first discovering the philosophy and religion shelves of my local bookshop.
Understanding that beauty and truth are mystically equivalent, I pursued art after undergraduate. I practiced plein air landscape painting during the day and I would observe my dreams at night.
East-West Psychology showed me that many cultures value both truth and beauty, myth and logic, and matter and spirit.

I fell in love with shamanism and hypnosis as soon as I learned about them. Shamanism honors the psychical reality of dreams. Hypnosis, which I now understand to be shamanic dreamwork, provide a set of tools to directly experience and work with wisdom.
I have taken classes in:
- Core Shamanism with Michael Harner
- Shamanic Dreamwork with Robert Moss
- Dream Yoga with Tenzin Rinpoche
- Psychic Mediumship training in Lily Dale, NY
- Several reiki certifications
- Core shamanic practice with Tereza Morena
- Archetypal astrology with Alice Tarkesi
I hold several credentials in hypnosis, shamanism, and alternative modalities:
- Certified in the spiritual counselling modality of Depth Hypnosis
- Certified in Beyond Quantum Healing
- Ordained as a minister in the Universal Life Church
I practice shamanic dreamwork within my own cultural traditions inspired by Asclepius, John Dee, Carl Jung, and many more, which I engaged with in the writing of the Book of Galactic Light.
