D-SETI is a work in progress.

You are here because your feedback is invited.

Everything you read on this website, view in the videos, or read in our documents should be considered a DRAFT.

We want D-SETI to represent the voice of our Advisory Board and Humanity in general, therefore any publications will include notice of draft status until the Board approves their final publication.

D-SETI is a community of voices, perspectives, and agendas

We want you to feel safe to associate your name, perspective, and work with D-SETI. Therefore, we commit to clear processes of governance, policies, and publications.

If you associate your name or activity with D-SETI, you will have a voice regarding policies and publications.

How will work together as a community?

D-SETI started with the dream of founder, Daniel Rekshan, and is growing as a community.  D-SETI is understood to be lens of activity, research, and publication that involves human (and possibly non-human) communities.  D-SETI's policies and publications will be guided by advisory panels and a board of directors that represent our community.

1. Draft briefings & policies

Daniel and the core team will produce a draft proposal for:

  • briefings, which outlines the state of science regarding dreams and ET contact
  • policies, which outlines how D-SETI conducts sciences and produces publications
  • reports, which summarize findings, policies, and briefings for quick understanding
2. Initial advisory panels

Each advisory panel will have an opportunity to review the draft policies and briefing.  The panel discussions will offer feedback and suggestions for further elaboration.

3. Iteration and feedback

Daniel and the core team will incorporate advisory panel feedback into the policies, briefings, and reports.  Advisors may participate in the process and feedback will be addressed.

4. Initial board meeting

Once all feedback is addressed, the D-SETI board of directors will meet and review the advisory panel recommendations and draft proposal.

5. Publication of policies and briefings

Once the board of directors approve the proposal, D-SETI as an institute will formally publish the policies, briefings, and reports.

6. On-going quarterly and annual activities

The D-SETI policies will be robust enough to operate without intervention of the board of directors or advisors.  Quarterly reports and briefings will be published.  The multiple advisory panels will annually meet on a staggered schedule (D-SETI will host quarterly panels with rotating topics).  The board of directors will meet annually or as needed to received the recommendations of the advisors and update institute policy.
